Lenthall’s ABT Bass Electric
On Sunday, 23rd June 2013, nineteen anglers braved the road
into Lake Lenthall for a rewarding competition
with plenty of big, healthy bass caught. Jordan Renz took out first place with his bag of two, weighing
2.49kg. Jordan fished up the right arm of
the lake, slow-rolling an Eco gear VT65 around the timber-laden bank, casting
close to the lily pads. The Big Bass
also belonged to Jordan
with his catch nearly as deep as it was long, weighing a healthy 1.61kg.
In second place was organiser and competitor, Shane Anderson, with a two
fish bag of 2.31kg. Shane fished in the
main basin of the dam, fishing parallel to the lily pads casting a black
TN50. Shane allowed the lure to sink for
a few seconds and then slow-rolled it back to the boat to secure his fish.
Third place angler was Les Barber with another good bag of fish weighing
2.23kg. Les also slow-rolled a TN50, in
brown dog, to secure his bag.
Thanks to all the anglers that turned up on the day. It looks like Lenthalls is on the
come-back. A special thanks to Sue
Barber for assisting with the weigh-in.
Congratulations to Sue also for catching a fish and making it to the
See you on the water.
