Saturday
– First Session
The
day was overcast and it rained on and off.
The wind got up just when the session started.
Sunday
– Second Session
A
beautiful sunny day at Borumba
1st Place – Jeremy McConnell
Session
1 – 2 fish 2.94kg
Session
2  –
2 fish 1.61kg
Total
– 4.55kg
Jeremy started fishing at the start of the timber casting white PML lure
spinner baits to the steep rock walls . then worked his way up the Yabba arm
still targeting the steep rock wall he caught a total of 3 bass in the first
session and another 3 in the 2nd. The fishing was tuff so I slowed
my retrieve right down to keep the lure in the strike zone for a longer period
and worked more areas searching for the more active fish . the first session
set the win up with a 2.98kg bag which was the biggest for the two days.

2nd Place –  Brett Renz   Winner – Big Bass – 2.11kg
Session
1 – 1 fish 2.11kg
Session
2 – 2 fish 1.82kg
The father of the Renz Twins had  tuff start on the Saturday arvo
session but still managed to catch a cracker fish that went 2.11kg which
eventually won big bass for the event .Sunday morning session was where he
succeeded . like most of the field he fished the main basin targeting shallow
weed edges with spinner baits and small ecogear power shad soft plastics in the
eel colour. The first day was very tuff but the second day I got my eye in and
moved around looking for those active fish. I caught my first fish at 7.00am
and my 2nd at 8.30. I got one upgrade near Borumba creek which was a
big boost  and it was enough to get me 2nd place and a
qualification into the electric convention
