53 Anglers gathered on a cool gusty morning for the Maroon Electric comp.
With the wind dropping off later in the morning the renowned surface bite would be a hard option.
Many anglers shot off to the rear of the dam while a few tried their surface luck close to the start point.
It was the same story over the dam with small fish being the only ones willing to commit to a bite.
Taking top place was Dave Trinder which was one of a few to secure a 2 fish limit.
Catching fish on DogX jr top water close to the ramp Dave secured his 2 keepers early. Switching to a slow rolling BJ custom spinner bait in black bomber colour as the sun rose higher to get his upgrade and Big Bass.
Close on dave’s heals to take 2nd place was Pete Bostock. Pete paddled to the back of the dam for 1 fish coming on a Potoon 21 Greedy Guts 66.
Casting on return for a early weigh in of 1 fish Pete managed to secure his 2nd fish 300mtrs from the weigh station.
Narrowly missing out on big bass with his 2nd fish which also came on the Greedy Guts.
Thanks to all competitors & Dave Trinder for the help at the weigh station.
