With a tough bite reported from the few that pre-fished, it was hoped that the Southerly change that came through on Saturday night would bring the fish on for the 32 keen anglers for the first Bass Electric for 2010.
Capitalising on the early bite was event winner, Greg Flett weighing his bag of 2 fish for 2.16 kg by around 8.30am & hoping it would be enough to hold on. Flett fished within 500 m of the start to accrue his fish concentrating on suspended fish with soft plastics, included in his bag was the big bass of 1.13 kg.
Second place was David Mann with 2/2 for 1.66 kg. David used a totally different approach, targeting fish from the weed beds with Jackall TN50’s.
Rounding out the top 3 was Wayne Beazley, fishing a point in the main basin for suspended fish bringing in 2/2 for 1.66 kg.
