St Clair BASS Pro Cancelled

The Hunter Valley and Lake St Clair lived up to it’s reputation for appalling August weather.

With 30-40 knt winds greating anglers on Saturday morning, tournament directors delayed the start to assess conditions and determine the potentiality of the tournament beginning later in the day.

With the ongoing deterioration of conditions throughout the morning, and the forcast indicating worsening conditions for Saturday and Sunday, it was decided to cancel the event.

It was a disappointing way to finish the BASS Pro qualifying rounds for 2004, but with the Megabucks event and BASS Pro Grand Final to come there’s still plenty of events for bass anglers to get their teeth into.

Angler of the Year (AOY) points will be calculated on the three events conducted so far, with no rounds dropped in the calculation.
