Hall Dam produces for the first ABT Electric Tournament of the season.
dispersed and rain stayed away for the first ABT electric Tournament of the
year. As usual Clarrie Hall dam was in beautiful condition and one of the most
relaxing and scenic venues on the calendar. 45 boats and a total of 70
anglers tried there luck on the day with mixed results amongst them. With my
peace and quiet smashed early by Pete Morgan and Dan stead whom came back early
to weigh their fish, I knew that the anglers would have to find the resident
big Bass to take this event out after seeing what these two bought in. Out of
70 anglers 47 weighed in fish for a total of 72 Bass all up.
surely they started and before the winners are listed I must say that all the
other anglers did well and it was a close finish amongst the top 15.
1st place goes to Chesley Lennon with 2.325kg for Two Bass and with this
bag also won Big Bass with a count back it weighed in at 1.205 Kg Chesley
fished an Atomic hard body lure for all of his fish which hit him whilst it was
paused. 2nd goes to John ski with 2.110kg and tied for Big Bass of 1.205kg,
John used a Beatle Spin to snare his Bass. Josh Carpenter placed 3rd with
2.025kg and fished way down near the Dam wall and found that a finesse
technique of 6lb Fluro carbon all the way to his cut down Smoked yellow core
slider did the trick. Ian Galloway with 1.980kg and Adrian Melchior with
1.965kg finished off the top 5 places and secured there spot in the
Electric convention later this year.
