Maroon Bass Electric Results & Story 09 Feb

On arrival at the dam at 2.30pm
there was a substantial breeze kicking up waves on the dam but it soon dropped out with only a slight breeze greeting anglers for the 4pm start. The conditions overall were perfect with a comfortable air temperature and still flowing creek allowing angler to fish the upper reaches of the dam and it’s a joining creek.

True to Maroons’ standards 90% of anglers
caught up to 30 fish, although most of them undersize, some of the anglers tried surface fishing for bass for their first
time, with amazing results.

First placed angler Luke Clark claimed the number one spot targeting fish backwater locations near Pointro with a 3/8oz Megabass Bullet Shad spinnerbait (colour- ayu) and a Jackall Bros Baby Giron in black gill colour.

A total of 78 bass graced the scales with a enthusiastic field satisfied with the sensational edge bite on offer on the new risen waterway. Hopefully it’ll be sign of the BASS season to come.
