After a cancellation earlier on in the year, the Lostock round of the
Bass Electric series was re-scheduled and won, last Sunday, the 20th of
May. After a very tough convention bite last year, 26 anglers turned
out to try their hand at Lostock, and thankfully, it was back to
business as usual with 14 out of the 26 anglers catching Bass.
The heaviest bag of 3.9kg along with a horse of a Big Bass at 2.4kg went to Michael Walker. Michael fished with second place winner Robert Hampton and when the fella’s were quizzed about their technique they said it was simple! “we would cast Gulps up into the fringe of the weed and slow roll them back out into deep water” targeting schooled bass out off “popular point” the guys landed 12 legal bass between them for the session.
Third place with 2.55kg went to Mick Elsley with a very similar technique. Wayne Parry and Neil Scott rounded out the top 5.
