Toonumbar Night/Day Electric Results

TOONUMBAR NIGHT AND DAY ELECTRIC (5-6 May 2007)

By Danny Robinson

Toonumbar lived up to its reputation as a popular BASS Electric location and holding two competitions on one weekend just made it more appealing for the anglers that attended.

The Saturday evening round saw 30 competitors in 23 boats set off in ideal conditions. A warm night with light breeze and a full moon. Some anglers come back early stating the bite shut down with the full moon. Although event winner, Daniel Boniface, caught his last fish just before 10 o’clock.

The first 3 places went to anglers who have not fished an electric competition before.1st place went to Daniel Boniface with 2 fish for 2.1 kg and just being beaten for Big Bass. His fish were taken on home made surface lures. He was fishing the top end of the dam.

Second place went to Robert Tombs from Armidale catching 2 fish in a place suggested to him by another competitor as he had not been here before.

Third place went to Paul Gillespie with 1.8 Kgs . Paul also took out Big Bass a nice 1.2 kg fish, on surface lures. He was fishing the weed edges.

There was a tied 4th place with Ross Murray and John Ski.
